New Jersey's 22nd Annual LGBTI Pride Celebration sponsored by Bank of America and presented by Jersey Pride will be held on Sunday, June 2nd in Asbury Park, NJ. The Pride Celebration takes place from noon to 7 PM, rain or shine. Celebrate Jersey Pride, Jersey Strong. There’s no better way to spend Sunday, June 2 than with 20,000 of your closest friends. It features a parade, headline performers, great food, arts and crafts, exhibits and community information, activities for the entire family, and the best in local, regional and national entertainment. Headlining the pride stage will be Kathy Sledge, God Des & She, and Alex Newell "Unique" from GLEE. All are welcome and encouraged to participate. The pride parade, complete with floats, decorated vehicles, motorcycles, and hundreds of marchers, will step off at Main Street and Cookman Avenue at noon. The festival and entertainment grounds are located at 5th and Ocean Avenues. More than one hundred artisans, crafters, merchants, and community organizations, as well as over a dozen food establishments will have goods, services, and information available. Families will enjoy games and rides in the “Family Zone”. Among the many unique exhibits on the festival grounds is NJ's largest outdoor display of the Names Project AIDS Memorial Quilt.
