Stretching as the border between Asbury Park and the Atlantic Ocean, the Asbury Park beach is everything you want from your shoreline excursion. On the east is picturesque waves, wide sandy shore, and excellent people watching, and on the west are shops, restaurants, and cultural centers concentrated in the quaint-but-hip historical town.

Asbury is the best!!
Asbury Park, NJ has great restaurants, gay and gay-friendly bars. The beach is beautiful and never very crowded. Out of state visitors can take NJ Transit from Newark Liberty Airport and walk to the beach, hotels and restaurants. It's like a Jersey Shore version of Key West!
Fifth Avenue Beach / Asbury Park is SO Gay
Since the gays in Asbury basically renovated the town ten years ago we claimed the prettiest beach in town - at Fifth Avenue - right next to fabulous Convention Hall. Sure, the straights then followed our lead and joined us on the beach, but make no mistake about it, when you hit the Fifth Ave Beach you are in hot gay central!
Fabulous gay friendly, clean beaches outlining many fine restaurants, bars, clubs and entertainment. Something for everyone!!!
